Biography

I am a Registered Professional Counsellor (RPC), Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling (MPCC) and Psychotherapist in private practice since 2005.  I am a registered member, in good standing, of the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (https://www.cpca-rpc.ca).

Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in Human Resources, managing and then consulting for ten years where my specialties included teaching and conducting performance reviews; performance management; conflict resolution; coaching and counselling employees and providing mediation and support to staff and management; developing, communicating and interpreting company policies and/or guidelines; enforcing and training staff in BC Labour Legislation, Work Safe practices; hiring practices, recruitment; layoff/terminations; organizational development; payroll processing and benefits administration.

Before that I worked at a large utility company as the supervisor of the remittance processing and accounts receivable centre for seven years where I received training on the full accounting cycle, staff management, performance reviews, corporate reporting, corporate acquisitions and integrating multi-national branches and their staff.
